Jun. 17th, 2014 11:33 pmi'm doing some web design stuff and honestly, i had no confidence with code of any sort outside of basic html, but i think i'm starting to get the hang of it... after all this time. the processing paper i took in 1st year kind of scared me away from code. i did some coding for flash games briefly in second year and did some python stuff in maya to create 3d models. i also did a design branding paper where we had to make our own portfolios, that's pretty much my experience with coding. like, i tried to learn code but i didn't process it and it went over my head 90% of the time. the teachers were all "we're not going to give you the code, figure it out yourself" types but i ended up learning nothing. but I THINK now i'm starting to understand thanks to different resources. logically speaking, coding is all straightforward, but at the same time i didn't really understand it and i could never code without references for even the smallest thing so i had no confidence. anyway, coding is just one part of web design, gotta make sure it doesn't look like shit
